Domestic Violence Center - Relationship Safety Alliance

This program provides emergency shelter from domestic violence in addition to personal advocacy, information and referral, criminal justice and legal advocacy, support groups, and community education. 

 

Alex and Brandon Child Safety Center -  Relationship Safety Alliance

The mission is to provide a safe environment for children during visits and exchanges. 

 
Sponsorship Program - Breath of Life Adult Day Service

The mission is to provide a homelike setting and encourage, caring atmosphere and activities to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit. 

 
Community Advocacy - Family Safety Network

This program provides services and support for victims of domestic violence and has a mission of providing services and building relationships to keep all families safe. Their goal is to increase the safety of victims and ensure they have access to services that meet their self-defined needs, as well as helping to improve the lives of domestic violence victims and their families.

 

Family Home Visiting -  Northland Area Family Service Center/Pine River-Backus Family Center
The two goals for this program are for children and families to be safe, nurtured and healthy and for children to arrive at school ready to learn. This is done through weekly home visits to families to respond to the unique needs of each family, build on family strengths, and empower parents.

 

School-Based Dental Care - Children's Dental Services

This program provides free dental care to children in Aitkin Schools who may otherwise lack access to sufficient dental resources due to lack of income or insurance coverage.

 

Crisis Line and Referral Service

The Crisis Line and Referral Service is available in Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena Counties. It is a service that helps people when they are in crisis, or before their problems become a crisis. Individuals can also call for a referral to resources in the area and surrounding counties.
